West Ham United have been told to cough up £10m if they want Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, according to the Daily Mail.
The Hammers had a bid of £6m plus £3m in add-ons rejected on Friday.
Wolves would like the money to be paid upfront but it is felt they would
accept a restructured offer.
Chief Executive Jez Moxley said: “We have received a bid for Matt
Jarvis but, as we have said, no player will leave until our valuation is
met.”
Jarvis was one of the few brights sparks in what was a miserable
seasons for Wolves, ending in relegation. He provided six assists in
addition to his eight goals and there is little doubt he possesses the
quality to perform in the top division.
West Ham do require strengthening in the wide positions and Jarvis would fit in the squad very well.
If Jarvis were to move to east London he become West Ham’s sixth big
signing after Modibo Maiga, Jussi Jaaskelainen, Mohamed Diame, James
Collins and Alou Diarra as the club invest to secure their future in the
Premier League.
